Job Description

The Privacy Officer will manage and oversee Swyft's compliance with global privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant laws. This role requires a deep understanding of data privacy regulations and the ability to implement and enforce policies that protect sensitive information while ensuring that Swyft remains compliant.

Responsibilities

Oversee compliance with data privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.

Develop, implement, and monitor privacy policies and procedures to safeguard personal data.

Work with legal, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure privacy by design for new features and projects.

Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and ensure the protection of customer data throughout Swyft’s operations.

Provide guidance on data subject rights, data protection requirements, and incident response protocols.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data privacy, GDPR compliance, and information security.

Deep understanding of privacy laws and regulations and their global implications.

Experience in conducting data privacy assessments and working with legal teams on privacy-related matters.

Ability to translate complex privacy requirements into practical policies and solutions.

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Cybersecurity, or a related field (privacy certifications like CIPP/E are a plus).
