Job Description

We are seeking a SIEM Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our SIEM infrastructure. You will work closely with SOC teams to ensure that our SIEM systems are capturing, correlating, and analyzing the right data to detect potential threats. This role requires a strong understanding of security log management, data sources, and tuning SIEM platforms for performance.

Responsibilities

Configure and deploy SIEM solutions (Splunk, QRadar, or other platforms) for enhanced security monitoring.

Optimize and tune SIEM platforms to improve event correlation, alerting, and data processing.

Integrate various data sources into the SIEM platform, including firewalls, proxies, servers, and endpoints.

Collaborate with security teams to improve detection rules and fine-tune alerts for accuracy.

Conduct health checks on the SIEM platform and address performance issues.

Automate routine tasks and data analysis using scripts and custom configurations.

Provide training and support to SOC teams on leveraging the SIEM platform effectively.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in SIEM administration, security operations, or log management.

Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, or LogRhythm.

Knowledge of network security, log analysis, and security event correlation.

Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate tasks and improve SIEM functionality.

Strong analytical skills for diagnosing issues and optimizing system performance.

Certifications like Splunk Power User, CISSP, or GIAC are a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
